Pt Fairy - Fishing Report
Returned from Pt Fairy last night. Fished around LJ Percy Island.
What a nice day on the water, sunny, no swell and no wind.
Unfortunately we didn't catch any kingies or tuna, but one of the deckies hooked on to one then lost it before being able to gaff it. Decent size kingies, but no monster.
Summary catch (between the 4 of us) for the day was,
54x slimy mackerel
39x yellowtail scad
40x arrow squid
3x 2kg Wrasse
4x Leatherjacket
Going back this coming friday (5th) for a re-match.

Even though you didn’t catch your target species doesn’t sound like a bad day on the water

Thanks for the report! Better to get at least one hookup than nothing.
Be interested to hear which technique?

Out of interest where do you find the arrows around JP island and how do you target them?

Well done mate. Looks like a fun session. Hopefully the kings will play next trip.
