Why not.
Bit boats run 5 to 6 at a time trolling for marlin and then have 1 to 2 spares rigged up with switcth baits ready to swap over.
If going for big marlin and big bluefin at bermagui could use 80s and have 50s as a back up but if going for tuna at portland use 50s and 30s

Not a justifiable reason.

The limit per angler is 4 rods, so why in the blue blazers should I supply rods for every other person on the boat.

Cos your a nice guy.
If you go away marlin fishing you mite have 4 or 5 guys on the boat.
I have a boat but dont have a crew that has there own gear.
So if i want to go away chasing marlin or tuna i supply majority of the gear so can go away

Ok, so I'll just dump 6 grand on gear so some toss bag can come out fishing on my boat and it makes me feel good, as I supplied the gear. Yeah nah, think I'll just buy for myself not some other flog.

When you spend 60+k on a boat and plus 3 to 4 k on gear you need to sipply just for your self to use buying 2 or 3 more is quiet insignificant

To cool the heat, yes I will be getting more 50s and 80s, but I'll but them between my two other brothers and myself. Next year I'll also be adding an electric reel for deep dropping for swords off Lakes Entrance here. My ultimate goal is a couple of 80s and maybe four 50s.

I certainly wouldn't be prepared at this stage to go all out with lots of 80s and some 50s anyway!

You can catch most things in 50s and 30s at a stretch
