Gummy Targeting?

Post by FishHunter81 » Tue Jul 04, 2017 11:23 pm

HI Guys,
I am thinking of doing some night fishing later this week with the moon phase coming in. Does anyone know of any reports for where Gummys are being caught lately land based wise? I have heard that Stony Point jetty can be good over the high tide at night. Apparently a guy I was talking to there once said that the ship that is docked next to the jetty has lights on the side an this illuminates things and attracts them at times.

IMO Gummies are where you find them, as far as I know there isn't a land based spot guaranteed that they will be there on a certain moon / tide / time. Some areas produce more often than others but there's no secret spot ( unless member nudeup has divulged one of his spots ! )

All you can do is use fresh bait and put in the hours.

Stockyard is also pretty good, but Merricks, balnarring, Somers does well.

I have seen gummies caught off Mordiallic, Mornington piers, and a bloke called Bruce at Rosebud Pier had the heads of two in his bucket.
