Also this test doesn't take into consideration corrosion resistance which is a key factor in real world durability.
Don't forget gear ratios, the greater the pulling power the slower the winch.

Happy I went for a GX1, as well as the winch, their loom, switch, solenoid and circuit breaker are all top quality. They were throwing in a free Mud Magnet recently with their packages to.

Personally i reckon it really doesn't matter what winch you get. They all work and they save your arms, hands and wrists. I bought one from a bloke on eBay in South Australia about 5 -10 years He made a few as he was pissed off with the prices of them at the various manufacturers. I think he made a total of 5 and 1 was for himself. It was on my streaker initially, and now on my Haines Hunter - still going strong. Only paid less $1k for it.....They all work and the coin you pay may not reflect any aspect in their reliabilty...Just my 2 bob worth....
