Onya Fitzy! Enjoyed the footage mate.
Some of the baits some folks use are handled with masks and gloves and downwind at all times. "If it doesn't stink, it doesn't work". I understand the logic, but not yet convinced.
Is this your style mate?

I use the same logic as i do with fishing "fresh is best". Always use fresh liver and chicken frames and re bait every morning and we always do really well, dont have to deal with stinky bait and hands either!Redhunter wrote:Onya Fitzy! Enjoyed the footage mate.

I use to think that too until i did some research on them, they are opportunistic omnivores so basically they will eat anything from decaying plants to meat, here is some more info on them - https://sydneyaquariumblog.wordpress.co ... -crayfish/

Pumpkin's good for finding them, you can tell if they've been at your bait or not, just move untouched nets.
Down side is they can destroy it pretty quick if they want to,so you gotta lift your nets more often.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
