Fri night west entrance

Post by crumpet_avenger » Sun Jun 11, 2017 8:40 am

Went out for a quick fish friday night to catch the tide change at around 630 with my nephew and old man.
we launched from hastings and had a quick fish from out front of stony but caught only 5 flatty.

Went down to buoy 12 to try for a gummy. We caught a couta and a gurnad.

Just when we were about to pull up anchor and head home at about 10pm a pike fillet (which i caught last week) got an enquiry and we landed a nice little gummy.

Ended up with 5 flatty 1 couta 1 gurnad and a gummy. Home by midnight for a hot shower

At least you got a feed why is it something bites just as you go to pull the anchor, make a coffee or get a sandwich out.

Did the flatty in the deep frier with a calamari we caught 2 weeks ago.

Theses were final results of my half of the catch on the bbq.

Gummy shark and couta. Mmmmmmm

Good feed, well done, cheers davo :nicefish:
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

I love them too. Alot of fish n chip shops are phasing them out though cause young people dont want fish with bones. The taste is unreal
