pity we couldnt use this upcoming long weekendcause of short notice.
I would have been keen as but I'm heading to Portland for Sat/Sun. Went to a talk on squid last week (Paul Carter) so I am keen to try some of his theories out.

Sussing out purchasing a dedicated Ego rod now. You would be an Emeraldas man wouldn't you?

ahhh, yes i forgot the tuna trip, good luck to you all.
and yes i have an emeraldas brading X (Basic JDM model) if your buying for a boat get a shorter version like a 7 foot, not the notrmal 8"2 etc i find the shorter models to be easier on a boat, but you might be a different style..
majorcraft do a really good squid rod as well.

Hey mate, it was at the Mitcham angling club last Friday night. Was really interesting to hear what he had to say.

I asked him what he would consider a starting point in regards to rods and he highlighted the emeraldas as a really good product.

Cheers mate. The Solparra keeps popping up as a good alternative as well so I might see if I can go and check them out.
