Another quick mornington report

Post by purple5ive » Sun Mar 19, 2017 3:17 pm

Went out last evening with dad again. Launched 4pm back in 8pm.
As we bated fishies beach i spotted birds working. So made a beeline for them. Got there and used electric to sneak up towers the activity.
I had my slug ready and first cast got into a salmon. Turned around to find that dads onto something off the bottom. So we reel in pinkie and salmon for about 20 mins it was good fun. I dropped quite a few salmon.
When they went quite we started drifting again and got into some nice pinkies.
Salmon were all just legals to 28cm.
Pinkies also legals to 35cm
Plastics and squid did the damage this time.
Dad had a good time cause this time i changed his setup to a paternoster style so he could get to the bottom easily. He was bait fishing. Caught quite a few fish but not all were legal sized.
Took home 6 of each pinkie and salmon
