Weedless Rigging Soft Plastics
Weedless Rigging Soft Plastics
Gday all,
Recently I have been watching some awesome youtube videos about weedless Rigging Soft plastics for Jacks, and in America they use it allot on the bass. I was wondering if they would work for bream and Yellas/ Redfin? Would they hook up or the bites be too finiky especially with the bream?
If it works would be an awesome way to get right into the snags or run it through weed.
Heres an awesome and informative video if anyone was interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnDomEtNx_A
Cheers

Re: Weedless Rigging Soft Plastics
Hey mate. Yeah they definitely work on most species here. I always have a few weedless jigheads with me. Skin hook the plastic to make them ultra weedless.

Re: Weedless Rigging Soft Plastics
They most certainly do work and are not designated to any specific species.
I will use them if I'm fishing in snags or reefs regardless of species.
For fish with smaller mouths you will need to match the size of the hooks accordingly.

Thanks Purp.
Will keep that in mind. Looking forward to being able to cast fearlessly into the snags or into tight gaps.

Dont get too fearless, they still get snagged and weeded up. Not as much as standard jigheads, but still get snagged.Fisho11 wrote:Thanks Purp.

The jighead with the weight on the bottom is the best I've found. The weight acts as a keel and helps the lure bump off structure, also having no lead at the front reduces the the chances of weed catching on the lure.
