havent been there yet but from the map showing where you can fish is pretty restrictive.

Iv fished ther alot over the last few months only had 3 awsum days and ther all been 30°+ thats when they seem to be bitting, iv only caught bit bigger than stocking size rainbows not on the jetty side and on the jetty side iv only caught 2 realy nice big browns and could see others same size if not bigger following it in.

Re: Devilbend reservoir
Took my kids down on the weekend before last for a quick fish. No luck but saw a couple of people land Brown Trout. Parks rangers were out and we saw at least 3 people fined for no license.

Re: Devilbend reservoir
Went there yesterday and despite people trying all methods of fresh water fishing I only saw an eel caught. There are still quite a lot of walking tracks to put in and when this happens next year, there will be more access. Fishing is restricted to two "smallish" zones both of which are exposed to onshore southerlies and northerlies. These zones both seem to have a lot of that "seagrass" weed which can make it quite a challenge to fish. Worth a visit just to see the great work being done and to enjoy the beauty of the area.

Re: Devilbend reservoir
my cut and paste i posted on another forum.
lazy typer lol
G'day
Have been keeping a rough eye on the Devils Bend Res as it was going to open for fishing.
a fare bit off the original opening its finely open for fishing.
I swung past after work last night to have a sticky beak.
Place looks really good with bbqs and shelter.
theres dedicated fishing areas a casual walk down the tracks.
also a floating structure to fish from with rod holders and bait boards.
a couple of tracks arnt finished yet.
The ideal spot i thought would be good for fishing going off the map had people fishing there last night.
the fishing strucutre is more in weeded area.
The water looked really clean and sweet.
apparently the parks fellas have been getting around a fair bit and doing people for no license.
So i rekon stick to the book in this place.
The only down that i could see was NO bins. probably on the to do list.
lets hope the wankers dont muck it up for the rest of us.
Cheers Cam
