Looking for Fishing Buddy who has a Boat!
Hey guys, I am new to this forum, I am a 27 year old guy keen on fishing and looking for a fishing partner who has a boat. The ideal person would have a boat and we can go several places to have some fun fishing. I am also looking for a fishing buddy who goes fishing on the weekends.
Let me know if you are interested as I would like to fish on Saturday and Sundays.
I live in Melbourne, so if you are also in Melbourne that would be a huge help.
Thank you.

Do you know the costs associated with fishing from a boat, and are you prepared to pay for fuel/bait etc, and stick around after to wash up? It can be upwards of $150 a trip, depending on what rig people are running (It can be a lot less too)

I agree Scraglor, you're not going to have a fishing buddy long if your not prepared to put in and help out at the end of the day, cheers davoScraglor wrote:Do you know the costs associated with fishing from a boat, and are you prepared to pay for fuel/bait etc, and stick around after to wash up? It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Looking for Fishing Buddy who has a Boat!
There are some excellent charter operators around the both bays PPB/WP who can offer a wide variety of species and locations to try. This could suite where you live regarding travel times etc. You can fish for kingfish, snapper, whiting, squid to name a few and the strike rate is pretty good. Matt Cini, Matt Hunt, Ace Fishing charters to name a few. Through trying different styles of fishing you may find a specific type you like. Just my opinion I think charters guys are perfect for people who may not fish often to get there fix. You can jump on pay money, catch fish and jump of with a nice bag and sometimes they clean it to. They offer tuition, food and a are generally happy to share tips and hints. You may think paying a charter operator is expensive way to fish. But for a non boat owner it is not a bad option worth considering.
On the other hand you could consider hooking up with land based fisho's on here as well and then learn more bout fishing this way. There was a land based meet organised here on April 18th just gone.

Re: Looking for Fishing Buddy who has a Boat!
Hi there I read your response but like the others said are you willing to chip in when it comes to costs involved with boating? It's not as simple as just going to a pier and catching a few fish and packing up and going home! There are a lot of other costs involved not to mention the clean up afterwards.Elly27 wrote:Please see my responseLightningx wrote:First of all, welcome to the forum mate
