Re: Show us how you eat it!
They are $199 from aldi. They are the same as the hark smokers. A month after I bought it Tackleworld started selling the hark smokers for $199 haha.
Yesterday I loaded it up with 2kg of marinated chicken wings. Put it on low and put a small amount of pellets in. Went out with a mate for a couple of hours and had a few beers. Came home to perfectly cooked wings. Beautiful.
I'm not going to start doing proper big stuff until I've nailed the temps of it. Otherwise I'd jus stuff it up. However the smoker doubles as an awesome portable oven. I'm keen to try a roast chook in there with veggies to see how it goes. Non smoked of course. But I think it would make a pretty awesome portable oven.

Ducky chicken smoked in it is good, even good for kids lunches in sandwiches too won't believe how moist it stays. Try apple wood saw dust if you wanna give the meat a bit of flavor as well.
I had a mate use an old school locker as a smoker. Worked a treat .

Yeah I need to find myself an orchard or something where I can go collect a few various woods. The cost at the shops is ridiculous.

Have you looked online for wood shavings? I had a look a while back and there was a site selling big bags for a fraction of what you pay in store. Can't remember the name unfortunately or I'd post the link.
