A pity Southern Sportfishing isn't closer, otherwise I'd do a lot more shopping there.
Ive been a regular at Boc Hill CA for well over 25years now! Not the cheapest but they stock a great range of gear from low end to top spec. Will be sad to see it go...

Aussie angler is also pretty good but a bit further for me. I picked up my simms g3 and boots there and the service was excellent even when the store was super busy!

No one shop will have absolutely everything you want in stock down to exact models. Compleat Anglers and some tackleworlds in the east/south east suburbs have probably the biggest ranges of stock. Of the independents Aussie Angler is a great little shop. Southern Sportsfishing too. Gone Fishin. Monster Fish and nearby Hook Up. Fishing Fever. Spot On Hastings have a decent range too. Then there's Hooked On in Hoppers. And a few others out north/west of cbd.

All have their own stock intricacies and you'll never find one with 100% everything you're after

I'm there all the time. Wayne has a good range of fishing gear and compared to most places he is cheaper. He has spooled many reels for me :)

not even tackle world in sale has a 10' spinning rod like a Tcurve .

now i'm willing to travel to Melb if i have to as i will not buy off the net unless i know what

i'm getting and i won't know that until i have it in my hands , so whats the best place going .

A good store, with proper service will order in for you what you want.

If you are after a good spin rod, try the Shimano Gold Ballistic ( Not cheap) good value on special.
