I stuffed up last year. I got to the Goulborn river at 10pm to claim my spot. Got way to pist and passed out. When i woke up fishermen were all around me and i felt **** so went home. Didnt even fish cos fishermen claimed every single spot haha oops

Re: Vic trout opening...2015.
This time next week it will be on! :Boxing: Plans are coming together...rise out of bed sometime Saturday morning (can't rush these things) and depart from Shepparton. First stop, Naggas to pick up Dalek, then off we go...to our second stop...Alexandra tackle store! Hope to do some fishing by the end of the day and hoping access has not been removed from our intended location. Happy days!

Nope...not evil twin...the one and only Dave! Rumour has it he may be wielding a fly rod as well! Time will tell how this will go...will either be  or :nicefish: .Boonanza wrote:.....Who the f*ck is Dalek? It's not Daves evil twin is it
Also, previously I have released all trout taken in waters where they can spawn! Times are a changing...anything of a decent size this time is lunch (don't we have the 'dinner' emoticon anymore?).

Re: Vic trout opening...2015.
Not long now! I used to stay away opening weekend but it is now a bit of a social event! Last year we hit the Rubicon soon after midnight! That didn't help...a big donut! This year we are going under the cover of daylight! Is anyone else going out?

I'll be skipping the weekend crowds but will probably walk the acheron sometimes midweek.

I'm hoping to get to the Bright/Harrietville area on opening weekend and once the snow has melted I reckon fishing the creek at the bottom of the Mount Hotham ski area would be bit of fun.
Sorry for the bad photo, I wasn't too inclined to have my gloves off for too long so the photo was rushed
