Hey mate, I grew up in FTG. If I were you I would be giving the old quarry a miss. Within a short drive you have Birdsland (Assuming there isnt blue green in there) which hold carp, reddies and roach. Roweville lakes are also stocked, and you can get carp/roach/reddies and rainbows in there too.

Also, if you just want to get the little ones onto some fish, TNA is less than 10 mins away.

I fish there it's close to my mrs work mainly little reddies apparently maccas (never caught any) the ranger came down one day sayin all is good asking as I left no mess n he said there was 2 cod in there but can't believe it unless my own eyes see it
