Re: I'm Sold.
I know of one that came out of the eastern side in a bream comp. But have only ever heard of that single fish. Trust me I'd target them anywhere but ppb. I'd still be bloody amazed if the accidental catch was a ppb perch hahaRedhunter wrote:Big piece of water that PPB...lolAVG_Fisho wrote:I'd be keen to know too, if this was caught in PPB keep it quiet!ducky wrote:Don't give too much detail away here but what body of water did you pull the Ep? Re: I'm Sold.
Large Eps have definitely been confirmed / caught in the Patterson Lakes system. I've heard the Werribee has them too. Are they in the Yarra? I might have to do some exploring upstream in Abbotsford, methinks ...

Re: I'm Sold.
They are meant to be pretty decent eating never caught one let alone eaten one myself. Considering how rare they are to catch though i would be letting it go to get bigger and breed :thumbsup:matt1991 wrote:I gotta ask are they good eating? If so how do you cook them?
Re: I'm Sold.
They are exceptional table fish - and not necessarily 'rare' so much as rarely fished for (particularly in Gippsland where I've caught them in the past). My PB at Marlo many years ago was 50cm and 1.85kg - a very memorable fish!

No matter what you done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it.
