Dimboola classic, Wimmera River

Been a bit busy the last month or two, so when some mates suggested the Dimboola Classic Saturday just gone I thoughti may as well have a crack! The day started a bit slow for me, didn't get a touch in the first session, but others were keeping the stewards busy, catfish and yellas most common, but a few silvers, reddies and carp were showing up as well. Back into it at about 1130, after a quick break, and my son landed 5 carp between 37 and 45cm in twenty minutes, and I was still to get a bite! Fished through til about 1530, and finally landed a small Redfin, so I at least got something. Once again, thoroughly out fished by the kids :doh1: The top prizes in all categories were taken out by catfish, up to 48cm, it's great to see them thriving in a river system again. All in all, a well run event, full credit to the organizers! :a_goodjob:
