Very nice work again. The first pic looks very cool. I became just a tad more devastated when I had more time to think about losing that one when I last ran into you!

Decided to hit up the Maribyrnong yesterday after getting sick of having to work so hard to catch meagre sized mullet at my usual Yarra spot recently. Had a couple of very decent enquiries early in the afternoon but thought i had missed my chance as the rain was approaching.

Then as the thunderstorms rolled in this solid little sucker hit a live mullet. He would be around 65cm and gave a very nice fight for his size as he doggedly searched for the rocks. Rig was a paternoster a rig through a running float, a rig which i really like for suspending baits above the bottom despite how often it seems to tangle in decent current.

Cheers.

I haven't been able to locate any mullet in the lower Yarra lately. I usually just berley and catch them on tiny hooks, but haven't found any schools to tempt in recent weeks. It's good to hear that they are returning!
