Re: Coota craft gun shot 18ft
Eden craft are not coota craft.
Eden craft hulls are based on haines hunter molds. They started out as ex haines molds but I have been told they have made new molds for all models. They certainly have made a new mold for the 233.

Quote from the link article I posted..
Time Out: This is when -and how - many of the original ‘classic’ Haines Hunter moulds started to be sold off to other boat builders around south eastern Australia - and to this day, a variety of boat
builders can genuinely claim to have boats that DID start life as genuine Haines Hunters, even if the transactions were - in most cases - subsequently ruled illegal by the courts.

Re: Coota craft gun shot 18ft
I wouldn't describe it that way.
The gun shot is based on the V17 but the hull has been extended and possible other tweaks as a new mould was built.
What is sometimes called a pod is part of the moulded hull, not a bolt on pod. Good design IMO just not full width so you can add trim tabs on the side.
The other transom setup I like is the haines signature and seafarer which both use a half pod that is also moulded.
All three designs allow for a flat transom without having the motor(s) too far back and not too difficult to reach a rod around.

What relevance does that have to your original post below.hornet wrote:Quote from the link article I posted..

when Haines hunter sold off all the molds most were bought by small boat builders and reborn in one fashion or another...
all the coota crafts are original haines hull's...

Yes frozenpod all the original haines hunter hulls / molds have been modified in one way or another
my original post is correct
in essence they are made from original Haines hunter hulls, modified or not.

I disagree, I have boxes of boating mags starting in the 70's till late 90's confirming my claims
believe what you will I don't intend debating, I know what I've researched.
