Do you guys actually put whole large yabbies on the hook? Or just the tails, or what?
I imagine only big cod could take a whole yabbie or am I wrong?
Never used them as bait before

Yeah man good cod n yella bait no doubt reddies will even have a crack! The big yabbies are good for cod!

Yes Kimtown, a full yabby hooked through the tail usually does the trick, maybe a couple of small ones hooked the same way on the one hook, the yellas love them, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

That makes freshwater fishing seem somewhat interesting to me, will have to try it someday as I can get a pretty much endless supply of yabbies

Easier said than done! As much as I know it’s great bait I’ve used big yabbies for cod n dangled em all day for squat.. bit of cheese half hour later BANG
