Blue Green Algae reports?

Post by Kangaron » Mon Jan 01, 2018 3:11 pm

Hi all, was wondering is anyone has been near Eppalock or Cairn Curran over the last few days and has an update to the algae?
I see the official warning is in place till the 18th Jan.
The place must have been packed over the holidays.

I'm sad to say the algae situation isn't looking too good for Eppalock or Cairn Curran at the moment

Mate fished there two days ago at Cairn Curran and said the algae was where he was where he put his boat in near the yacht club ramp. Until it cools and some good rain comes I'd expect it to get worse. Loddon above Cairn Curran at Newstead isn't running. Its about 3 feet below the little spillway, which is really just a little rock concrete sort of barrier, just up from the bridge as you pass over it. No flow at all. Really need some good rain in Central Vic right now.
