There is a possibility a section of Devil Bend in Mornington will be opened to kayakers.

If we can put a good case forward we can fish here (the orange area) and in the near future and they may open the whole lake then to kayaks.

Re: Devil Bend For Kayakers
I'm thinking it would be a bit of a hike from the carpark to get your kayak in the water, anyone been down there lately know what the deal is as far as access goes?

It's about a 500m walk I believe, Not that far and supposedly a good track to walk on.
So I've been told, haven't had a chance to get the yak down there as yet.

Only about 250m to waters edge on compacted gravel. Haven't been since yak access was put in so don't know where the 'ramp' is situated thoughBrett wrote:pwalnuts wrote:I'm thinking it would be a bit of a hike from the carpark to get your kayak in the water, anyone been down there lately know what the deal is as far as access goes?
