thinkiing of heading down here on the weekend for a fish was wondering any one fished here recently whats they caught and used ect thanks.

Emerald Lake just up the road 5 mins has been stocked with trout, can get busy there when the Puffing Billy comes in.

my brother use to go kayaking there... not sure what in there besides eels and carp

Lots of tiny, tiny redfin. Gets quite murky after heavy rain. Fishes much better in summer at sunset after a nice day. I've seen eels caught on bait and heard legend of trout but never seen it. Apparently attempts to establish a trout fishery have failed.
