G'day all,

Sounds like a whole lot of fun.

Having never attended a group fishing trip such as this, how does it work? We organise our own accommodation at the resort, what's the story with late check out? Any particulars regarding etiquette I need to know?

Not really ever doing any freshwater type fishing it would be great to be amongst some of the more experienced.

Cheers,

Jay

This is where we are staying...well where I am staying anyway! :) Same place as last year.

Everyone organizes their own accommodation. Regarding late checkout, normally you have to be out by 10am...or you can pay a fee of $20 (from memory). They have waived this fee for us so if you do decide to attend, mention to them when booking that you are from the fishing forum and you won't have to pay the fee...makes life a bit easier on your morning of departure not having to rush around.

BYO bait...if you are uncertain regarding fresh water fishing, we can help you in regards to bait choice and where to get it as the time comes closer. I'm not sure who is bringing boats but be assured if it is at all possible, someone will try and get you out in one for at least a couple hours. We were catching good fish from the bank last year anyway. As for etiquette...just don't annoy anyone! :)
cheers
Jim

That pretty much wraps it up quite nicely there Jim.

Sounds fairly stock standard procedure when fishing anywhere I guess I just wanted to make sure there weren't any particulars I needed to know about

I'll have my yak with me so will be fishing in and around the lake. My only concern is speeding boaties. I know most of us would be cautious but being on a yak and with a lot of traffic I am hoping that there won't be any hoons on the water.

I look forward to meeting yourself and the others! Count me in!

I got no idea when it comes to freshwater. But that might be for a whole other day and topic.. Collecting bait for freshwater!
