I contacted the caravan park (Bonnie Doon Lakeside Resort) and they are happy to waive the late checkout fee again for us as they did last year. I also enquired about fires and got the following response. As it appears we may be going after the cup weekend, fires will not be an option.
I should be a certainty for this. Possibly staying for 4 or 5 nights as well if finances allow at the time.

We survived last year without a fire,if it gets too cold we'll all head to club bender :banana: :banana:

Date is good for me drewbie! I should be there from anything from 2 nights to 5 nights. 4liters, I don't think there is any point basing our date around the option of having a fire. Things could change there anytime and they seem to tell a different story re: having fires depending on who you ask.
