Bayule swamp

Post by bigwatkins » Mon Jun 29, 2015 4:21 pm

Hi all.

Just took the dog for a walk down the back of viewbank/rosanna and found the "banyule swamp"

On google earth it looks empty but in reality its a pretty impressive lake.

I had a bit of a walk around and i couldnt see any signs saying no fishing but there is a fence the whole way around it.

Just wondering first of all has anyone given it a crack? And secondly are
You aloud to?

I assume there would only be carp and eels in it mayb the odd reddie but im guessing unless stocked these fish would only have got in when the yarra floods.

Cheers guys

Banyule flats. Just google earthed the car park around the other side and the sign says the flats.

Fishable?
