Ethan's for the tips mate, went there today and managed 1 about 35 cm long. Got a few other nipples but could not hook them. Was great sitting in the sheltered spot.
Denis what sort of boat do you have is it a quintrex dory ?

I recon it was me you spoke to when you retrieved your boat mate. I was the guy waiting to use the ramp after you. Thanks for the tip I got me my first gar :). Bloody awesome fun

Hi, I live really close to Brighton. Where abouts on brighton would you fish for gars? Eg. rockwall, pier, end of rockwall? :cheers:

I have caught plenty on the left hand side just before where the rocks start mate :)
