I've never noticed a difference from a normal hook.

Haven't really tested them out properly but have caught a few fish on them. I don't see them reducing your catch rate but there is a very distinct possibility they could increase it.

I have used them many times. My first double headed snapper was on a snapper snatcher so they will always be part of the fishing arsenal.

They have worked well for me. Both the whiting snatchers and snapper snatchers :)

Never tried them myself but have had good success with poppers in the surf, I suppose if you lost your bait you'll have a better chance than a bare hook.

They seem to work quite well offshore...

I've used similar ones (actually larger-sized sabiki rigs) on a couple of trips and have caught pinkies, gurnard, flatties, barber perch and arrow squid!

The advantage is that you don't need bait and don't end up stinking like a mermaid's armpit at the end of the day.

Cheers,

Mike.
