Spadoni Reserve, Yering

Post by ChrisD » Sat Jan 25, 2014 8:47 pm

Been trying Spadoni Reserve in Lilydale the last week. Very snaggy and deep, so I hoped for big things.
First night, mid week had some big hits but kept loosing them in the snags. Finally bought one in close and it was a big crap.....but then it made a run and back into the snags it went. Tonight was there for 3 hours and not even a bite.
This section looks promising, so I will be trying it a few more times in the next week or so. Clearly there is carp around, but all those snags are screaming REDFIN.....so will be keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes Yering, I figured it was just the back of Lilydale.
I have made an edit to the header as well.

Only a short walk from the car park, half a dozen reasonable river access points

Yeah I've heard that area is quite good for fishing
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

Had a fish there tonight and got a couple of good hits but couldn't jag one. Any updates from this location so far in 2017? Looking for some more recent updates

Cheers
