Google maps. I had no idea either until I had a look
Google maps, it is :P
Freshwater landlocked lake at the other end of the beach was the biggest clue in this thread.

And just looking at google maps, broomy I would've stopped after 5km of hiking. I'd rather get dropped off on the beach by boat

The walk is part of the story that makes it a great trip. Reward for effort, anyone can look at google maps and suss out likely Perch/Bream creeks in remote areas to make the effort to walk in takes commitment.

Another great write up and photos Pat. Sam's all ready asking "When can we do something similar?" I said 20km of hiking... I don't think so. He can go when he's older.

Haha detective Cobby! I figured a few people would find out where it is, but the 20km hike will scare away the vast majority. Only the dedicated will give it a crack, and I reckon they're the type of people who would respect the environment there so I wasn't too phased. But yeah getting dropped off in the boat is the easier option - it's pretty exposed around there though so you'd have to pick your days.

picked it as soon as you mentioned the walk in. Alex has been talking about this joint for a while now, just haven't had the time to get ourselves geared up or to even do the walk in. definitely on the list though
