Victoria Trout Opening 2016 - Midnight 2.9.2016 - All prepared and ready to go bait fish local waters - Yackandandah N/E Victoria - Probably headwaters of Mitta Mitta River or King / Ovens, all are relatively clean with low levels of discolouration, ideal for drifting worms

Hi Russel heading up tp the trout opening festival in Ballarat this weekend then going to try to hit some northern rivers in the next few weeks.
Check this vid by Robbie Alexander it shows and explains the current status of the rivers in the N/E I also stocked up on some SP's to try out.

hi guys
was up at eildon pondage mon, 5hrs donuts powerbait and every lure in my bag
it is the goulborn fishing festival there this weekend thought the pondage would be well stocked
on another note never seen so many dead wombats 5 between black stump hotel and taggerty

Eildon:
I heard 200 trout went into the pondage and 200 went into the lake, I cannot definitely confirm this did happen only what I heard.

Yeah, I read somewhere they just dumped 200 ex brood stock into eildon. Big fellas. Can't remember where I read it (probably on this forum, ha)

I got it from a relative that has a holiday shack up there.. I dunno where he got it from ?

I'll be going up next weekend seeing this weekend is fathers day, didn't seem right to be away from the family on one of the most important events of the year ! :thumbsup: :rofl:

I wouldn't count on the ovens being too clear for opening, we just got a decent amount of rain today in the ovens valley.
