Does any body use lure retrievers ? I used them quite successfully when I lived in FNQ. They are only a couple of bob or you could DIY.

Cheers.....ThomasG

I carry one all the time in the boat,i reckon we get 8 out of 10 back. There is a few styles around.I just make my own.

The trick is to know when to stop trying to pull them off and go for the retriever.Once you get it back check your line, leader & knot for damage as sliding them down the line can do damage to it.If you get the retriever stuck, like i have a few times, you are furked

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Kirwan's Bridge, there's a little ramp just before the bridge.

I think I was off the water by 4pm, then I headed to Cuzens Lane to check out that launch spot for next time so I wouldn't have passed you if you came from Nagambie.
