Spin fishing only unfortunately. I guess that rules out the very shallow and weedy spots, although I did get a couple of little surface lures today.

I haven't been past the Melton Weir wall for a while so I dont know how much water is in the River. I have seen photos of some nice reddies caught below the wall on SP's

Went to Moorabool friday afternoon/evening and threw some lures around. I had a rod soaking some power bait as well. It was very muddy, I couldn't see a pink tassie devil sitting on the bottom in 10cm of water so I didn't hang around for long. It looked like the wind had whipped up a bit of chop which was stirring up the mud from the banks.

Made a couple of attempts to get up early Saturday and Sunday for Wendouree but it was so hot (no AC) I got bugger all sleep and couldn't find much motivation for a 5am start.

Drank a slab of beer and at my weight in lamb chops so it wasn't a complete waste of a weekend.

Thanks again to the people offering advice, the fishing didn't pan out the way I would've liked but I appreciate the help nonetheless!
