Re: Nelson report
After a few more casts without any luck I decided to change back to the trusty wriggler (my last one) and first cast it went straight up a tree. Now I wasn't about to lose my last wriggler to a tree so up I went to get it:
I think the dog was a little worried about me:
But my persistance was rewarded with this super cute little perch a couple of casts later:

Re: Nelson report
After this it went quiet so I decided to move spots. I only had about an hour left before I had to head home so I didn't have time to head to the mouth, so I decided to try a nice looking spot about 100m downriver. I tied on a plastic and started getting bites but they just wouldn't connect. So I tied on a chubby and I soon found the culprit:
Little bream. I caught a few of these feisty little guys before it was time to head home. I was tired, stinky, dirty, hungry and I had a pile of work waiting for me when I got home, but I had a ripping trip! And I can't wait to go back (hopefully with a boat next time). Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on where to fish, it was much appreciated.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Nelson report
What a fantastic report and series of pics Broomy. I'm at uni right now and I happen to have a rod in the car, think I might need to make a pitstop on the way home and throw some lures at redfin.
