My PB flatty from Merimbula went approx 85cm and >4kg

PS: I eated him. :oops:

Was it tough, I find over about 50cm they tast really leathery????

I'm not a salt water marine biologist, but frozenpod may be correcting you as at this size, the fish may be a female - not a 'him' as you stated. :-D Rather than him correcting your English if that is what you think.

Also, my mate is sure that 1 of them was a dusky and unsure about the other. both fish came to the surface and went crazy throwing the hook
PB- Snapper 55cm, Whiting 38cm, Flathead 55cm, Bream 38cm, Australian Salmon 55cm, Carp 80cm

Correct, most males don't grow over 55cm and very few if any over 60cm.

No big ones here. Best is 57cm. One day I'll get to Far East gippy and target those monsters.
