Was it tough, I find over about 50cm they tast really leathery????

I'm not a salt water marine biologist, but frozenpod may be correcting you as at this size, the fish may be a female - not a 'him' as you stated. Rather than him correcting your English if that is what you think.Fishbref wrote:I speaketh sheepish forumish...frozenpod wrote:Ate her.

Also, my mate is sure that 1 of them was a dusky and unsure about the other. both fish came to the surface and went crazy throwing the hook

No big ones here. Best is 57cm. One day I'll get to Far East gippy and target those monsters.
