I recently went to Mornington Pier to fish. I hooked up some pinkies, one which was a centimetre below the legal size limit. Just wondering, I wanted to catch a Flathead. What are the best baits?

Flatties aren’t fussy at all mate. I have caught them with just about anything. These days I prefer to target them with sp’s.

Ok, how far do you cast, what length is your rod and have you ever been to Mornington Pier?

I find 2 inch of pilchard tail works best for me
