Thanks for sharing, I love this old stuff and watched a lot of it on tv as a kid. There's some beaut 70's Ron Calcutt movies on youtube spinning for Spanish Macks in flares and Pelaco shirts from the rocks.

Great Video some of the tips are still relevant.
As for Alvey reels they are still manufactured in Australia.

I might have to look that up!

I still love looking through my 1982 issue of "The Anglers Omnibus" at some of the old photos.

Lots of flares and bad haircuts. Plenty of shots with old fishos holding up their catch with a dirty old fag dangling from their mouth!

I have the same book but the 1979 edition and few others of the era, read them all religiously when I was young.
