Thanks all! Bowl, that's exactly how I felt :grin: it's now filleted and waiting in the fridge to be cooked up :dinner: this week has felt a bit like a fishing holiday, so it was nice to conclude it with something decent. From Monday it's back to work...

Nice flatty! Hope its the first of many!! Agree with rick that flathead numbers have dropped considerably in the last 20yrs. I used to catch half a dozen legal(used to be 25cm) flatties in a cpl of hrs at st kilda pier with 1 rod. Now you could fish there all day and not turn a scale...
