Southern peninsula angling club (Mornington peninsula)

Post by keep_itsimple » Tue Jul 05, 2011 8:37 am

Hi all, shortly southern peninsula angling club will be hosting open comps to the general public for people who want to see what a competition is like. We are still trying to work out details on the comps but seeing if there is any expression of interest to come to a comp day. Prizes like fishing tackle might be on offer and it's only $10 to enter, if you enjoy yourself pay the extra $25 for the membership.

The comps will include surf, beach, boat, open (boat or land based) and maybe a squid event.
Most events are based down the peninsula and 2-4 away events a year, for a membership it's $35 for a year. For this you can enter all events for free, Christmas break up party, discounts from local tackle and supporters from the club, be in the run for club champion and other category champions, a monthly newsletter. This is a great club with really nice people and always welcomes new members. The meetings are the first Monday every month at the rye yaught club.

I mixed the dates up, it was just a general meeting. The annual meeting is on the 15th of this month at 7:30 at rye yaught club. After this they should be doing open comps where anyone can enter and just pay $10. Feel free to come on the 15th and have a looky
