Was a shogun hook, think they're staino...
Rigged by a local tackle shop, broke right in the gape. Think Poodoo is working on the photos as we speak..
Thanks Carl I can see from the photo where it broke. We have gone away from double hooks and just use singles.
Interesting, is that for tuna and Marlin.?
And any particular reason why mate.?

For both makes for an easier release you don’t have to worry about the second hook when the fish shakes it’s head. It hasn’t impacted the hook up rate

Mite been a faulty hook.
Did you exam the hooks before you use then?
Was it a brand new rig?

Faulty hook was our best guess, and we don't normally micoscopically examine hooks before deploying. Most of our big lures are on dojo's or Jobu's. This lure was rigged by a shop when bought, and we'll be checking all our other lures to make sure no others are rigged with these particular hooks.

Im.not a fan of shogun after I bought some of their swivels and I could bend them with my hand. They were quite heavy rated ones too.

Great report Carl good effort I also wondered why the second hook but that wouldn't cause the break keen to get down there.
