My mate was on a family holiday at bermie I got a call come if you are up for it. I worked thurs night went home had a sleep left Melton at 10 to 1 in the arvo on fri rolled into bermie at 8 15 in the evening I had a good run.
Sat we hit the 12 mile bait everywhere picked up some slimies rigged up some live baits and started trolling we had one up high and one on the downrigger about 20 fathoms. We trolled and trolled nothing very promising signs on the sounder
Eventually we decided to troll skip baits to cover more water. So we rigged up some skip baits and trolled them around. Up and down the 12 mile out to the 90 fathom mark and back for nothing bait every where but no takers.
There was the bermie blue water classic on about 90 boats in the comp and I think 4 marlin caught in the day one fish a blue was 193kg
Sunday we hit the water and its blowing around 10 knots just enough to let you know you are alive same deal we found bait put livies out nothing put skip baits out nothing as a last resort we put lures on to cover more water nothing we didn't even see a marlin very disappointing. By 3 in the arvo its blowing 17knots and we give it away, back at the ramp I bumped into scott henning with his new boat a quick chat and home for tea.
Mon its blowing its guts out no fishing today a few maintenance jobs on my mates 680 haines then we put it in storage till march around 5 weeks and I will be back at bermie with my boat to give it another crack.
