Portland Tuna - 06/08 - Anyone interested?

We're organising another tuna bash this weekend. This time chasing the big tuna.

Portland weather is excellent this weekend with Fri/Sat/Sun showing <10knot winds and <2m swells.

I have 2 spots available on my boat for anyone interested to come.

Leaving: Sat 06 Aug 7AM from Doncaster East (or can pick you up along the way)
Where: Portland or Port Fairy
Fishing: Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning
Returning: Sun 07 Aug evening to Doncaster East (or can drop you off along the way)
Group Costs (approx. $100ea): Diesel to Portland and back, Petrol/Oil for boat, accommodation Saturday night in Portland, Ice for esky, Ramp fees
Individual Costs: Food, drinks, fishing gear
I'll provide: 19ft boat rigged up for tuna, gaffs, belts, etc, some lures/skirts, accommodation in Portland
You will need: strong tuna rod/reel, some tackle

Trip's catch is split evenly between all crew at the end of the trip.

I need to know ASAP if anyone wants to come so I can book Sat nights accommodation.

$100ea is super cheap. To put that into perspective I went with a mate recently and shared all costs between the 2 of us. Was closer to $450 each.

What do they charge for a charter these days? $300?

And that is only for the fishing, not including the drive there and accommodation!
