Seem to be quite a few around atm.

A few kayakers managed to get into them off Portland on Saturday too.

Cheers,

Mike.

Sounds like an awesome day. Glad you had a ripper first experience! Not often you get to head out of portland and fish in a T-shirt!

Cheers, Anth

Perfect eating size. Just the right amount of meat.

Which lures did you get the fish on? any standouts?

i bought $100 worth of lures, and most were caught on a bright colored dirty big old skirt thats looks ten years old that my mate brought..
tried the xrap 30.. not to our liking with other spreads..

was the skirted ones in bright colors worked best

we started of with 3 rods out, with skirts on 2 and xrap on end rod...
4-6kts against the grain worked best but is hard to get diver and skirt to work at same time..
after we caught and released a few, we went down to 1 rod for the rest of the day,
with only 2 of us in boat, it was best with 1 rod out..
