How many km's to the shelf from bermagui?
About 18klm to the 12 mile reef we normally work from the 12 mile out to the 90 fathom mark. Some days we cover over 100 Klm we averaged about 90 litres a day in fuel
Cheers guys that's almost half the distance I expected. What kind of outboat do you guys run to use that much fuel? Or do you use the majority of it trolling?

Nevermind just seen your post about the donks. Obviously a lot more fuel is used trolling for marlin that i expected!
Fishing is a very expensive hobby to say the least lol

Edit: I'm completely retarded and half drunk and for some reason completely disregarded the last line about travelling 100km a day lol
Carry on hahaha

Jeepers. Thats great.
I thought you would use more fuel then that.
I was thinking around the 120 to 140lt for the distance you cover each day.

The beauty of a 4 stroke no smell as well. We did use more fuel when chasing the bait balls, fast acceleration to get in front of the seals a bit of anticipation of where the seals will pop up sometimes we had to sit and wait but it is exciting and if the marlin are on the bait ball very visual
