Winter Clothing

Post by karlws1 » Wed Apr 10, 2019 4:06 pm

Hi all, I intend to try fishing during the winter months this year. So I have a few questions.
To avoid looking the Michelin Man, and been available to move around the boat, I'd like to ask what those who do fish in winter "what do you wear"?
And where do you get good quality winter gear from? Also as I will be fishing at St. Leonards, what can I expect to catch?
If you have fished the colder months what was it like?
Thanks..... Karl

I wore an adrenaline paddling top last night on the Barwon in the rain and it kept me pretty warm even though I was just wearing shorts. Generally I just layer up with thermals.

thermals are the usual option for most

or if you're a mad dog jetski fisherman like i am, just wear the skin of a boaty after you've flayed them
