Catana 802:

Perfect for fishing plastics for flatties & bream, it's also become my go-to squid rod and I've caught plenty of KGW on it too.

Shimano Raider Soft Plastic 732L 2-4kg was my everyday all rounder rod.
Now I use Majorcraft Basspara 632UL 3-6lb more often. Easier to cast lighter lures and light lines.
Both I bought at $100ish.

I really like the 2-5kg Rovex Spin Specialist rods, I use them for all my light fishing and had no issues landing a 60+cm snapper with it. Not sure if they sell them anymore but the blank will still be used in some mid range jarvis walker rod I'm sure.

Brown Trout: 37cm
Flathead: 51cm; Squid: 36cm; Australian Salmon: 51cm; Snapper 46cm; Silver Trevally 23cm; KGW: 45cm

Catana and Rovex, good value for money. Bought 681 catana baitcast rod to start cod fishing, not long ago at $50 (after discount at Anaconda).
Now I need a murray cod.

Gomoku paleface ninja great versatile rod even though it's designed for micro jigs can easily be used for squiding and sensitive enough for light bait fishing be warned though people have them snap when trying to cast snapper leads they have their limitations.

Shimano Impact Nano NXT nibble tip seems to be the most versatile rod in my arsenal
