So, what is the recommended gear for starfish as I may start to target them?!!!!! And for the record, my great nephew did actually catch a small starfish. He then cried when I threw it back in because he wanted to keep it - as a pet! The tackle shop guy told me that the 'noxious' starfish had 5 legs so I let this one go as it had many more legs despite the fact that there were always dead starfish left on the jetty.

the bad starfish has purple on it with the tip of the arms curled upwards. It is like giving us the fingers really. ""YOU CANT GET RID OF US. UP YOURS!"" could be what the starfish is telling us. :roflmao: :roflmao: :crazy: :crazy: The native ones are plain orange and the tip of the arms are not curled up.
