For me I have found this varies on where I am fishing mate. When I go for pinkies locally I prefer to have my baits in the water a couple of hours before high tide however on the other hand when I go floundering with mates we try to get there a couple of hours before the low tide. A lot of other factors come into it as well.

Well after my saltwater adventure i came home with my first whiting. Something was pinching my bait but only the pilchards, so i put pilchard inside baby squid so it would be harder to pinch the pilchard. This fella with a tiny mouth somehow got lipped steeling my top dollar bait. I seen theres no size limit on whiting so he will be dinner. Just hope they taste ok.

King George whiting have a size limit of 27cm i thought..And 20 bag limit per person... but check i could be wrong..nice catch too.

You are right. I just checked the booklet again and it says no size limit for whiting other than king george, is that a king george? It measured 42cm

Lol 42cm is a cracking size haha. First caper and a decent whiting. KGW some of the best eating there is. Enjoy!!
