Apollo Bay Trip on 5/03/16

Post by snorkly » Thu Mar 03, 2016 9:08 am

Hi everyone, I'm hearing a good reports on west coast about kingies and SBT, decided to make a difference and head to Apollo Bay instead of Portland. Gonna go out with A-ONE charters on Saturday morning. Been out with him few times in the bay and quite happy with the friendly attitude and service. Apparently its gonna be 8 hours of school chasing and might be occasional bottom bashing. if anyone interested guys name is Olly and his contact: 0424686100. Also I'm gonna be driving alone to there and could take someone with me. just pm me if interested. hopefully will return with good report.

Hope you have a great trip.
May you have to work very hard to land the "monster".

Cheers

Thanks Texas, Certainly gonna work really hard to land any kingfish, and if there is any tuna it'll be bonus. It'll be $250 mick, besides usual rod&reel, bait, lure etc. I'm pretty sure he also supplies lunch and drinks.

Good luck fishing. I was there 3 weeks ago and managed to go out a couple of times. Those swells are a pain. Anyway kingies are there but while I had no success the better fishers were using mainly live bait and trolling lures. They were only 100m -200 m approx out from breakwall to Henty reef.
